Unlimited human fundraising and bid-writing support
Add as many eligible funding requests as you need. I work through them one at a time, in the order you choose, for one fixed monthly fee.
For established charities, CICs, arts and community organisations with ongoing funding needs. Intended three-month founding pilot, billed monthly, with a first-month exit. No onboarding fee. No success fee.
What “Unlimited” actually means
Keep as many eligible funding requests as you need in one prioritised queue. I personally work on one active request at a time. For each active request, you see what I am producing, what I need from you and the expected draft date. When it is complete, the next ready request begins. Unlimited refers to requests entering the queue—not unlimited hours, simultaneous work or a promise that every item will be completed within one month.
Experience you can verify
“Matt supported me throughout my Paul Hamlyn Foundation application, which was successful. He demonstrated profound respect for the background of my application, which focused on Ballroom Culture, and articulated my points clearly to the panel.”
“Happy to let you know the Lottery bid was successful. Many thanks and best wishes.”
“This is amazing, from the actual application draft right down to the data report. Matt just totally gets it.”
Previously published client feedback. Funding decisions remain entirely with funders; results are not guaranteed.
Stop buying funding help one application at a time
Every new freelancer needs another briefing. Every deadline creates another quote. Senior staff lose days to forms, and the knowledge disappears when the job ends.
You ask. I shape the right process.
You do not need to pick a complicated service or complete every questionnaire at once. Start in ordinary language; I send only the questions needed for that request.
- 1
Add a request
Tell me what you need, the real deadline and attach anything useful.
- 2
I review and clarify
I send a tailored questionnaire, focused questions or confirm I already have enough.
- 3
Choose the priority
Add as many requests as needed. One ready request becomes active at a time.
- 4
I deliver the work
Research, advice, writing, rewriting, formatting or light design—alongside an expected date.
- 5
Review, finish, continue
You provide consolidated feedback, I complete up to two revisions, and the next ready request begins.
The funding jobs that keep piling up
One subscription, one queue. Each coherent output is one request; substantial work can be divided into useful stages.
- Project development
- Outcomes and evidence
- Budget narratives
- Activity plans
- Full applications
- Expressions of interest
- Cases for support
- Adaptations
- Reviews and rewrites
- Funder feedback
- Rejection analysis
- Follow-up answers
- Monitoring reports
- Partner materials
- Visual CVs
- Short supporting PDFs
Light design is included: editing and arranging approved text, clear typography, simple page structure and placing supplied images or brand assets. Full branding, original illustration, complex infographics, websites, video, print production and large publications require a separate scope.
Different pipelines move differently
These are realistic combinations, not quotas or guaranteed monthly output.
One standard application, one smaller application and two quick checks.
One substantial application, followed by its budget narrative and partner-letter support.
A funding strategy, funder shortlist, case for support and one small application.
Several short trust applications, reviews and funder follow-up responses.
Turnaround is a delivery window, not a timesheet. Substantial work may be divided into sequential milestones. You always see what is active, what comes next and the expected date of the current output.
A deliberate fit gate
This works best where the organisation is ready to use recurring funding capacity—not where one emergency application needs rescuing tomorrow.
A good fit
- Established charity, CIC, arts, community, heritage, youth or wellbeing organisation
- Several plausible funding tasks over the next 90 days
- Credible delivery record, accounts and evidence
- One internal contact who can provide information and approve work
- Funding pipeline comfortably larger than the annual service cost
Probably not for you
- Only one urgent or last-minute application
- No internal approver, evidence, project ownership or budget decisions
- Expectation of guaranteed funding or invented facts
- Procurement tenders, statutory contracts or specialist capital work
- £1,195 monthly cannot be justified by the likely funding pipeline
Matt Simmonds
Your funding work is handled by me
I’m Matt Simmonds, a bid writer and the founder of ArtsFunded. I personally review every opportunity, ask the questions, write the applications and manage every Unlimited queue.
Your work is not passed to a faceless freelancer pool. Software keeps the process visible and organised; the judgement, project interrogation and final writing are human.
I have worked across Arts Council, National Lottery, trust, foundation, heritage, wellbeing and community funding—including packages over £100,000.

Questions before you apply
Is it really unlimited?
You may add any number of eligible requests to your queue while the service is active. I work on one ready request for your organisation at a time. Unlimited does not mean unlimited simultaneous work, hours or completed applications.
How many applications will be completed each month?
There is no fixed quota. Output depends on the size and readiness of each request, queue order, deadlines and how quickly your organisation provides information and feedback. Examples on this page are illustrations, not promises.
When does turnaround begin?
The delivery estimate begins when a request is active and I have the information, decisions and files reasonably needed—not when an incomplete idea first enters the queue.
Can we change the queue order?
Yes. Your authorised contact can reprioritise work that has not started. Once a request is active, changing direction materially may return it to the queue as a new request.
What happens when information is missing?
I send only the tailored questions or checklist needed for that job. If an active request is blocked, I may move to the next ready item so the queue keeps moving.
Is there onboarding?
Yes. Onboarding is required and included in the monthly price, with no separate fee. I use it to understand your organisation, build a reusable sourcebook and agree the first queue priorities.
What work is excluded?
Public procurement, statutory contracts, specialist legal or regulated financial advice, major capital or academic/scientific grants, public donor campaigns and work for an unrelated second organisation are outside the standard service. Full branding, websites, video and large publications also need a separate scope.
Who writes the work?
Matt personally reviews, researches, shapes and writes the work during the founding pilot. The service is not an anonymous writer marketplace.
Do you use AI?
The service is human-led. Secure assistive tools may help organise research, transcribe, outline, edit or quality-check, subject to the published AI-use and data rules. Matt remains responsible for the reasoning, fact-checking and final prose.
Do you guarantee funding?
No. Funding decisions are made by independent funders. There is no success fee, and no eligibility, submission, score, award or payment outcome is guaranteed.
Who approves and submits applications?
Your organisation verifies every fact, figure, declaration, budget and commitment, approves the final version and makes the submission through its own account.
What happens after the three-month pilot?
If both sides want to continue, the service can move onto a monthly renewal arrangement under the signed agreement. Any continuation price will be confirmed clearly before renewal.
What happens to queued requests if we leave?
You receive paid work completed up to the effective date and the active request in its then-current state. Requests that have not started close without a completion obligation, and you receive a short export window for your files.
