Matthew Simmonds is a working artist, artistic director and fundraiser. He built ArtsFunded after years of writing applications and seeing strong creative ideas lose time to guidance documents, blank boxes and generic writing.

Experience behind the platform

Matthew has supported artists, producers and organisations with funding applications while making and delivering arts work himself. ArtsFunded turns that practical experience into guided questions, funder-aware drafting, evidence support and review tools.

The platform helps UK creatives identify a suitable route, turn rough notes into an editable first draft, find evidence gaps, review unclear answers and work to exact funder word or character limits.
