Decision-time guidance conflicts: check the longer form warning before committing costs. Small UK-based groups and organisations with a dedicated bank account and charitable public benefit. Arts, theatre, music, dance and design that widen participation; one-off or lasting activity. No sole individual benefit, professional theatre, schools, profit distribution, retrospective work, primary therapy/social welfare, building capital campaigns, general appeals or statutory obligations. Charities need a constitution and at least two trustees. Non-charities need public-benefit and bank evidence. This route conservatively excludes salaries and general overheads unless the Trust confirms a direct-cost exception. One three-page application with brief character-limited answers, a mandatory whole-pound balanced budget and at most two supporting files. Part funding allowed, but other required money must be secured before payment. No more than one award in 12 months; unsuccessful applicants wait at least 12 months. Form warns four/six months for decisions/funds while other guidance says four to six weeks: no payment date guaranteed. Funding-year options currently 2025/26 and 2026/27 only. Human review and honest disclosure required; published AI policy unknown, no endorsement. Applicant supplies genuine documents, consents and submits personally.
